Class and desire to be back as top rider. Young but yet experienced rider. Born in 1990, but already with 7 years of World Tour experience with important victories. The new challenge of Moreno Moser will be with the Italian-Japanese team, to re-launch himself at high level playing a leading role as new symbol of the Italian-Japanese team in the 2019 season.

Now it is official, Moreno Moser will be a rider of the NIPPO Vini Fantini Faizanè team for the 2019 season. A rider with undisputed talent, but looking for the definitive relaunch in the middle of his racing career. Born in 1990, 27 years old and 8 victories in career, all of high level, all in Europe and 3 in World Tour category races. The most recent of his successes is the one of this season, in the Trofeo Laigueglia wearing the Italian National team jersey.

The idea of re-launch his career in the Italian-Japanese team, is the evidence of his great desire to relaunch, in a key moment of his career, at 27 years old, in order to play an important role and to return to winning with consistency. In this idea the Professional category is a step in transition to a future of success yet to be written. To do so, he chose a team that knows how to wait and value him. The next season with the NIPPO Vini Fantini Faizanè is a challenge for him and at the crucial moment of his career the choice goes to a team that has already demonstrated that it is able to “revive” important riders like Marco Canola, 3rd most successful Italian in the world in 2017 and Juan Josè Lobato, winner of the Coppa Sabatini, in 2018 and back to important placements in this season.

These the words of Francesco Pelosi, the General Manager of the team, on his great and new big name for the 2019 season: “At the end of the first 4 years of our team and with the closure of the career of a great champion such as Damiano Cunego, the teams find in Moreno Moser a new symbol and a new challenge. A challenge both of the rider and for the team that is strongly motivated. Moreno comes to our team in a quite young age for cycling, at 27 years old, with a big desire to re-launch his career that could give him many satisfactions. This is what we want to do with him and with riders like him, a real re-launch and if he will be then be able to come back in the World Tour as a top rider we will be very happy to reach together this goal. Our team already made important re-launch with very good riders such as Marco Canola and Juan Josè Lobato. Both of them will be our leaders for next season together with Moreno Moser. The role of professionals in my view must be the one to launch or re-launch our talents in order to bring them to an high level and when possible to make them stand out the big jump in the World Tour category, for the benefit of Italian cycling.”

A quality roster is thus emerging with athletes ready to win like Moser, Canola and Lobato, together with many young Italian riders launched in professionalism in the last two years, among which the brothers Imerio and Damiano Cima, Nicola Bagioli and Filippo Zaccanti. With them in 2019 the team will also launch the promising Italian sprinter Giovanni Lonardi, and the talented Colombian climber Alejandro Osorio, winner of a stage in the Giro d’Italia Under23, and best climber at the Tour de l’Avenir, defined by many as one of the best prospects to enter professionalism in the 2019 season.
