NIPPO VINI FANTINI EUROPA OVINI: ON SUNDAY THE OFFICIAL START OF THE TOUR OF QINGHAI LAKE. ONE OF THE GOALS TO GET UCI POINTS FOR JAPAN.

While in Livigno the training camp of the team is going on, on Sunday 22nd of July 7 #OrangeBlue riders will be at the start of the Tour of Qinghai Lake. 5 of them are Japanese, with the goal to reach good placements both for the team and for the Japan in order to collect UCI points for the Japan looking forward to World Championships. To improve the 2 victories of 2017 edition also Juan Josè Lobato will be back in race after the injury.

In Hotel Interlapen at Livigno trainings are going on, but 7 riders together with the DS Shinichi Fukushima already started their trip with final destination China, Tour of Qinghai Lake. Two weeks of competitions from Sunday 22 of July to 6 of August to try to improve the last year good results and also the UCI Japanese points to help the Japan in the national ranking valid for the upcoming world championships.

THE GOALS.

One of the goals of the team in Asia, since the begin of the season, is the one to help when possible to upgrade the UCI points of the Japan in the Ranking by Nation. To enter in the first 30 countries of the ranking would give the chance to upgrade from 1 to 3 riders representing the National Selection in the road World Championship. To upgrade the actual position of Japan (around the 31 and 33th position right now) the results and placements of the Japanese riders in Asia will be very important.

THE LINE-UP.

The selected line-up for the Asian competition has been selected with these double goal, both of team results and also thinking about Japan as a nation. 5 on 7 riders are Japanese riders. The climber Hideto Nakane, together with Masakazu Ito, will be the leader of the team for the general ranking, while Hayato Yoshida, Juan Josè Lobato and Eduard Grosu will be the sprinters. Kohei Uchima and Hiroki Nishimura will complete the line-up as important team-workers.

THE DECLARATION.

On the team car the Sports Director is Shinichi Fukushima that has been following the last training in Livigno of the riders: “The Tour of Qinghai Lake, as part of the UCI Asia Tour will be very important for our team to earn UCI points for Japan in order to get participation for the world championship. We just finished a very good training period in Livigno and I believe we can have good performance in China. Hideto Nakane will be our leader for the General Ranking, together with Masakazu Ito. Hayato Yoshida, JJ Lobato and Eduard Grosu will be our sprinters, while Kohei Uchima and Nishimura will be very important riders to support the team and try to be in some breakaway. In the previous edition of the race we won 2 stages, one sprint with Marini and one Climb with Cunego, we aim to improve our results in 2018.”
