A great weekend of sport awaits the #OrangeBlue in Japan. On Sunday the Japan Cup, in which Marco Canola after the great victory of 2017 will battle for an historic double. Saturday the Criterium, often a final show of great champions. There will be also Damiano Cunego to greet all his Japanese fans and to greet the organizers of a race that has twice seen him as winner.

The expected Japan Cup weekend is on its way, with one of the most important sporting events on the Japanese calendar, which has always been the scene of great victories, with big names competing for the victory. A race that often have the Italians among protagonists, Italians that in the last 10 years have achieved success on 4 occasions (Cunego, Basso, Villella and Canola). The last winner in the 2017 edition wore the #OrangeBlue shirt. Marco Canola will therefore be at the start of a favorite, but well aware of having to fight to reach a historic double. Able to win two consecutive editions of the Japan Cup only Claudio Chiappucci and Sergio Barbero have succeeded, once again two Italian names.

Hideto Nakane one of the most anticipated Japanese after the 5th place at the Asian Games and after being the only Japanese representative to the recent world championships on the road. The young Italian Nicola Bagioli and the Japanese Sho Hatsuyama complete the training.

On Saturday the Criterium will see Damiano Cunego back on saddle of his Protos De Rosa to greet all his Japanese fans. On Saturday rest day for Ivan Santaromita, looking forward to the important competition of this Sunday.
On the team car Valerio Tebaldi will be the Sports Director in this race: “The team will approach this Japan Cup with his riders in the best condition. All of them are very motivated to repeat the top result of the 2017, with Marco Canola that strongly wants to win again. All his teammates will support him, from Santaromita to Bagioli and Tizza, together with two important Japanese riders for us like Nakane and Hatsuyama. We know very well that all our competitors are very strong and that the level in the Japan Cup is high, but we really want to do very well in a race very important for the team, for the sponsors and for our riders.
