Ecques – 10th May 2018
In a frenetic stage, with a windy day and a difficult final, good and bad news for the #OrangeBlue team. A very bad day for Juan Josè Lobato involved in a high speed crash and retired from the race, he is now in the hospital for suspect of broken collarbone.

Since from the begin a strong wind and a race animated by 4 riders in the breakaway of the day that reached a consistent advantage, remaining in the front of the race until the final 3 km of race. The bunch leaded by the Wanty Group Gobert team arrived reached the breakway and battles for the final sprint, not an easy one with many bends are difficult roads. The #OrangeBlue sprinter, thanks to the help of his teammates Alan Marangoni and Damiano Cima, had a good start of the sprint reaching the final 4th place.

THE RIDER DECLARATION.
These the words of Eduard Grosu after the finish-line. “A very nervous stage today also because of the strong wind. After 10km of race I’ve been involved in the fall also if the unlucky one has been Juan Jose Lobato injured, I just had to change my bike. The bunch continued to ride at high speed and I had to spend energies to be back inside. Thanks to the very good work of my teammates I’ve been able to be in the final battle for the victory, but I’m a little bit sad for the final result. In the last meters I started in the right way the sprint, but then I was a little bit closed without reaching my maximum speed. I feel in a good condition and I could play my chance in some other stage.”
Tomorrow the #OrangeBlue team will be again involved in the 4 Jours de Dunkerque, for the 4th stage with another possibile sprint arrival.
The race will be streamed live on http://www.corsairetv.fr
